Birch Creek Announces 2025 Fall Concert Series: A Season of Jazz, Dueling Pianos, and Holiday Traditions

EGG HARBOR, Wis. (August 11, 2025) – Birch Creek Music Performance Center invites audiences to experience its 2025 Fall Concert Series, a dynamic lineup of performances by Birch Creek faculty and guest artists. From spirited Dixieland jazz to a dazzling piano showdown, and culminating in a cherished holiday tradition, these concerts bring together exceptional musicianship and engaging performances in the intimate setting of Juniper Hall.

The season opens with Jodie and Colin: Dueling Pianos – The Sequel on Saturday, September 6 at 7:00 PM and Sunday, September 7 at 2:00 PM. Back by popular demand, Birch Creek piano faculty member Jodie DeSalvo teams up once again with guest artist Colin Welford for an evening of quick wit and musical fireworks. This collaboration with Colin and Friends promises laughter, impressive virtuosity, and show-stopping duets that are anything but traditional.

On Saturday, September 20 at 7:00 PM, the Lawrence University Jazz Trio returns to Juniper Hall, featuring Dane Richeson on drums, Mark Urness on bass, and Bill Carrothers on piano. Renowned for their seamless interplay and imaginative improvisation, the trio blends jazz classics with a modern edge in a performance that’s both soulful and sophisticated.

Then on Saturday, September 27 at 7:00 PM, Talk of the Town brings the spirit of Bourbon Street to Door County. Led by clarinetist Kevin Van Ess, this nationally acclaimed Dixieland jazz band fills the room with toe-tapping energy and New Orleans charm. Audiences can expect lively renditions of favorites like “When the Saints Go Marching In” and “Bourbon Street Parade.”

The series concludes on Saturday, December 6 with Christmas at Birch Creek, a festive tradition for all ages. Two performances—a 2:30 PM Family Matinee and a 7:00 PM Evening Concert—feature Birch Creek’s Symphony Brass, Percussion Program Director Dan Moore, guest performers, and the beloved Door County Community Bell Choir. Children 11 and under are admitted free to the matinee, making it a perfect holiday outing for families.
