Birch Creek Percussion presents a free concert of their energetic and innovative music from around the world featuring inspired student performers sharing what they’ve learned during their time at Birch Creek.

Steel Pan Superstar Victor Provost returns to Birch Creek for an afternoon of his beautiful and compelling compositions for steel pan and percussion. This concert will feature the premiere of a new composition composed by Victor in honor of the 50th Season of Percussion at Birch Creek. Come and hear what all the buzz is about with this exciting steel pan performer. This performance will include Provost’s 50th season composition for Birch Creek: Throughlines. The first movement, Memory, celebrates the contributions of the area's native people, and the European influence in Door County. The second, Momentum, pays tribute to the legacy of Birch Creek and its founder James Dutton. This landmark composition continues the momentum Dutton set in motion by bringing together the elements of percussion, steel pan, and world music that are the trademarks of Birch Creek percussion.
