This project has been a long time in the making. I’m incredibly proud of the music we made and the people who made it with us: From the first ideas traded back-and-forth with @alexbrownmusicto the final mixes, every note is rooted and joy, collaboration, and the spirit of connection.
The first tracks were laid four years ago in the midst of the Covid pandemic, while we were each on our own “personal islands“, but the name also references my home, St. John, V.I. and Alex‘s home, Manhattan. Two very different islands, but connected musically in many ways.
