Birch Creek Announces 2025 Summer Jazz Ambassador Concerts

EGG HARBOR, Wis. (July 1, 2025) – As Birch Creek Music Performance Center celebrates its landmark 50th season, the Jazz Ambassador concert series returns with an exciting lineup of community performances across Door County. From mid-July to mid-August, audiences will enjoy the talent and energy of Birch Creek’s outstanding student jazz ensemble in over 20 free concerts.

The Birch Creek Jazz Ambassadors are high school musicians selected through auditions to represent the organization in a community outreach concert tour. These talented young performers take their music on the road, sharing jazz standards and contemporary favorites in parks, libraries, museums, and local venues—all while gaining real-world performance experience.

In 2025, the Jazz I Ambassadors will be directed by Marty Robinson, trumpeter and educator from Oshkosh, WI and the Jazz II Ambassadors by Katie Ernst, acclaimed bassist and vocalist from Chicago, IL.

“Our Jazz Ambassadors embody what Birch Creek is all about—exceptional musical training paired with meaningful community connection,” said Jenna Ferdon, Executive Director of Birch Creek. “It’s especially meaningful to share their music with the public during our 50th anniversary season.”
