Stephanie Lebens

Stephanie Lebens is a Chicago-based trombonist and euphoniumist with versatility across both classical and commercial styles. She has performed throughout Chicagoland and beyond with ensembles including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Camerata Orchestra, Des Moines Symphony, Quad City Symphony Orchestra, Dubuque Symphony Orchestra, West Michigan Symphony, Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, and Elmhurst Symphony, among others.
In addition to her orchestral work, Lebens is an active musical theater performer, appearing in productions with Music Theater Works, Porchlight Music Theatre, Mercury Theater Chicago, and Metropolis Performing Arts Center. She has also performed internationally as a euphoniumist with the National Orchestra of the Dominican Republic.
Lebens earned her Master of Music degree from Northwestern University in 2017, where she studied with Michael Mulcahy, Timothy Higgins, Douglas Wright, Randall Hawes, and Christopher Davis. She received her Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance from Indiana University in 2015, studying with Peter Ellefson.
Lebens maintains an active private studio and teaches trombone and euphonium at Oswego East High School, Waubonsie Valley High School, and Metea Valley High School.
