Betty Lewis

Betty Lewis is an active violinist and violist in the Chicago area performing with groups as diverse as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra where she plays as an extra musician, and in Broadway in Chicago productions. She also serves as concertmaster for the Bach Cantata Series at Grace Lutheran Church in River Forest, IL. Summers find her in Door County where she’s on faculty at Birch Creek and a member of the Peninsula Music Festival. Lewis maintains a private teaching studio at home, as well as at Grace Lutheran School in River Forest, and at the Chicago School of Violin Making in Skokie, IL. 2026 marks Lewis’ 32nd year at Birch Creek.
