Piero Guimaraes

Piero Guimaraes, a leading percussionist in orchestral and contemporary music, collaborates with renowned composers and performs worldwide. He earned his bachelor's degree from Sao Paulo State University in Brazil and holds a Master's and Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Stony Brook University in New York. Guimaraes is a core member of the Providence-based new music ensemble, Verdant Vibes. He also serves as percussion faculty at Rhode Island College, Stonehill College, Roger Williams University, and Johnson and Wales University.
