Birch Creek Announces 2026 Summer Jazz Ambassador Concerts
EGG HARBOR, Wis. (June 26, 2026) – As Birch Creek Music Performance Center marks its 2026 season, the Jazz Ambassador concert series returns with an exciting lineup of community performances across Door County. From mid-July to mid-August, audiences will enjoy the talent and energy of Birch Creek’s outstanding student jazz ensemble in free concerts.
The Birch Creek Jazz Ambassadors are high school musicians selected through auditions to represent the organization in a community outreach concert tour. These talented young performers take their music on the road, sharing jazz standards and contemporary favorites in parks, libraries, museums, and local venues—all while gaining real-world performance experience.
In 2026, the Jazz I Ambassadors will be directed by Katie Ernst, acclaimed bassist and jazz vocalist from Chicago, IL, and the Jazz II Ambassadors will be directed by Marty Robinson, trumpeter and educator from Oshkosh, WI.
“The Jazz Ambassadors represent the heart of Birch Creek’s mission—taking the world-class training our students receive on campus and sharing that energy with the entire Door County community,” said Jenna Ferdon, Executive Director of Birch Creek. “We are thrilled to bring these free performances to our neighbors and visitors alike as we celebrate our 51st season."
The Ambassador combos will captivate audiences at a diverse range of venues, including parks, farmers markets, and local businesses. Here's a list of their summer performances in Door County. See the venue and time for each date.
