Galina Kiep

Galina Kiep maintains a versatile and distinguished career as a bassoon soloist, chamber musician, and educator. Her orchestral experience includes performances with some of the nation's most prestigious ensembles, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra, and the Detroit, Atlanta, Houston, and San Diego Symphonies. She also performed with the Houston Grand Opera and Ballet Orchestras and was a member of the Sarasota Opera Orchestra from 2014 to 2025.

An avid chamber musician, Kiep has appeared with Chicago’s Fifth House Ensemble and has been a featured artist at renowned festivals such as the Pacific Music Festival, Music from Angel Fire, and the Colorado College and Atlantic Music Festivals.

As a dedicated educator, she currently serves on the faculty of Illinois State University, the Music Institute of Chicago, Carthage College, and the Merit School of Music, among several other institutions.
