Dan Moore

Dan Moore is the Roger and Lynn Van Vreede Percussion Program Director. Now in his 28th year as a Birch Creek faculty member, he has served as Director of the Percussion, Steel Pan & World Music program since 2016. He is an internationally known artist/teacher of percussion, composer, and music producer. He is a Yamaha international performing artist, Innovative Percussion signature mallet artist, and a performing artist for Sabian Cymbals, Gon Bops Percussion, and Grover Pro Percussion. Since 1996, Dr. Moore has led a vibrant student-centric percussion program at the University of Iowa where he is a senior professor.
