Birch Creek is lucky to have a very strong volunteer organization, The Birch Creek Associates. This special group of volunteers serves an integral role in supporting Birch Creek's educational mission. With more than 120 members, The Associates prepare the campus for the summer's activities (as pictured, right, cleaning outdoor receptacles for summer use). On summer concert evenings, The Associates sell tickets, gift shop items, popcorn, and other concessions. During the year, The Associates perform essential services in the areas of grounds keeping, office assistance, and newsletter mailings. They also organize fundraising events such as the Style Show & Luncheon and the recently-held autumn "Cabaret Songs" event.
The Birch Creek Associates can be seen around Door County in the summer distributing promotional materials; at Birch Creek concerts greeting concertgoers, making popcorn, selling beverages and "Sweet Treats," handing out programs—in general, working hard to bring you a true Birch Creek experience.
Annual membership dues for 2012 are $30/active member, $50/active couple and $10/student. Sustaining memberships are also available. Join the Birch Creek Associates or renew an existing membership by completing and mailing us the membership application form along with your dues. Dedication Benches
Dedication benches are a fundraising effort developed by The Associates. The personalized and handcrafted project began in 2002, adding benches to the campus for patrons to use while listening to students perform in the courtyard gazebo before concerts and during intermissions. Funds raised through this program are used to meet specific annual financial needs identified by the Board of Trustees, staff, and faculty in the Long-Range Plan, and agreed upon by the membership of the Associates.
A bench may be purchased for $500 and inscribed with your name or the name of someone you wish to honor, thank, or memorialize.
