Scholarships & Other Student Resources
Birch Creek wants you to be successful! We offer financial aid opportunities. Other funding opportunites are posted at the bottom of this page when available.
Birch Creek offers financial aid in the form of scholarships to help musicians further their artistic development. Award amounts vary and are based on three criteria: the financial need of the family, the artistic ability of the student, and Birch Creek's instrumentation needs. Full scholarships are rare, and at least some financial commitment is usually required of the family, e.g., partial tuition, transportation to and from Birch Creek, or miscellaneous student purchases.
Birch Creek's operating budget, from which scholarship funds are derived, is small and the aid requests we receive are numerous. It is not always possible for Birch Creek to meet the needs of every student who applies. Applicants are encouraged to seek assistance from other sources within their community such as their youth symphony or band parents' group.
Please note: The actual cost per student for their two-week session at Birch Creek is $4,150. However, the actual fee charged to the student is approximately 37% of the total cost. In essence, every student automatically receives a 63% scholarship.
If you are interested in applying for financial aid, complete the SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FORM and submit it to Birch Creek. Note: General student application requirements must be met before a scholarship application is considered.
